Privacy

How we handle your game data, preferences and advertising choices.

Playing the game

Game progress and preferences are saved on your device. The server processes questions, guesses, room profiles and chat to run the game, and keeps round records for replay and judge debugging. Questions and relevant game facts are sent to the configured AI services for judgment. Optional sign-in uses the email address or external account you choose.

Optional analytics

Optional PostHog analytics includes gameplay statistics and, with the updated opt-in, text-masked interaction replays. Inputs, chat, names and avatars are hidden; URL query strings, network bodies and console logs are excluded. Existing statistics-only choices do not enable replay unless you opt in again under Account & privacy. Advertising consent does not turn on game analytics.

Advertising

When advertising is enabled, Google AdSense banners may appear in the multiplayer lobby, below round results and, on wide screens, beside the game while you play. Solo play may also offer an optional rewarded ad for extra auto-eliminations. Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers and IP addresses to deliver, measure and, where permitted by your choices, personalize advertising. We do not deliberately send your questions, chat messages or account email as ad-targeting parameters. Google’s code may collect page and device information as described in its policies.

Where required, Google’s consent message offers choices before eligible advertising is served. You can revisit these through “Privacy choices” under a banner or Google’s privacy-settings link. Refusing advertising consent does not prevent you from playing. An ad blocker or unavailable ad does not block the game.

Rewarded ads use an anonymous, first-party HttpOnly cookie to associate extra uses with this browser. The server stores the bonus balance and single-use claim records; attempts and scan receipts are retained for up to 30 days during active use. A daily hashed network identifier helps limit abuse. Completed rewards awaiting a retry may be recorded locally until claimed. Clearing browser data can make unused rewards inaccessible; they are not transferable between browsers.
